MHS is a platform-style bike rack that holds the bike by the tires and in these trays. It's gonna mean a couple things, we've got zero frame contact making it good for our carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and good for some of our e-bikes too with that battery removed. Like many other bike racks in this class, we do have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded just by squeezing this handle at the back end here and letting the bike rack down. It'll stop itself right there, and then this will give us access to our truck bed by opening the tailgate up. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty SwingAway Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. So, like it looks right now, the big benefit of this is that it's a swing away bike rack. So, for your trucks it's gonna be a really solid fit because it allows full clearance with your tailgate and full access to it where we don't have something in our way, so if we need to get something loaded or unloaded, hop in the back or just have a place to sit. One, we have clearance because a lot of times even with a bike rack tilts away, it doesn't have full clearance, and you'll see that a little bit later, but even when it does have full clearance, it's still sitting in front of the tailgate and it doesn't give us a good place to sit. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail 2-Bike Platform Rack right here on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. This is gonna be a really versatile bike rack, pretty much any shape, size, or weight of bike you have, this can handle it. So we'll talk about those features and those specs, we're gonna focus on our truck here today, that way you can see what is the better fit for you, your different types of bikes, and your Toyota Tundra. The first feature we're gonna take a look at is the tilt-away feature. We have this bright, blue lever here at the end, you're gonna pull that lever and just let that bike rack drop down to a tilt, and why would you tilt your bike rack away If you wanna lower your tailgate. So as we can see here, if we can completely lower our tailgate and we actually almost can, you can see it kinda makes contact with our bike over there but it clears the cradles which I'm very surprised by 'cause most bike racks can't tilt away far enough to get some good distance here, so we'll probably have better luck when we take our bike off later on. more

It's sturdy and it comes with a cable lock.So, the way our bike is mounted to our bike rack, here, is by one, two, three mounting points. So you have two on the top two and one down here, which is our anti-sway strap. So you can see how it is limiting the sway of our bikes on the road, which is great especially if you don't want them hitting against each other or causing damage to your bike.So to dismount the bike, what I like to do is start here at the bottom. more

This is a great bike rack if you want something that's small, minimalistic, lightweight but really sturdy and will secure your bike racks very well.So the way our bike is mounted to this bike rack here is by two straps here by the wheels and this raim mount as well. And this frame Mount is interesting because of the weight it can adjust you can rotate it 360 degrees. It fits around your tire, your frame, and it has this nice rubber strap here to help grip it as well as protect it from scratch and scratch scuffs. So I really liked that function. So to dismount your bike I start with the wheel straps, so take that up and out of the way. more

Today on our 2008 Toyota Tundra we're doing a test fit of the Thule Roadway hanging-style 2-bike rack. That part number is TH912XTR. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that. We've got two cradles in place with three straps, two on our frame here and one as our anti-sway in the back. Softride Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Toyota Tundra- Video
Today on our 2014 Toyota Tundra, we'll be doing a test for the Softride hydraulic assist dura tilting four bike rack. That's part number SR26321. As you can see I've already got it loaded up in the Tundra just to give you a good idea of what it's going to look like. Let's go ahead and take a few measurements and then we'll remove the bike and take a few more measurements. So overall to the Tundra we've added about 36 inches. For a ground clearance we're looking at about 17 inches. For our nearest point we're looking at about 4 1/2 inches right here. Now before we take the bike off, the nice thing about this bike rack is that it tilts out with the bike on. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Tundra- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Tundra, well be test fitting the Thule Dobletrack Platform Style 2-Bike Carrier, Part Number TH990XT.Now to begin our test fit, well simply slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pinholes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten it with a wrench.Now that our Thule Doubletrack is secured to our Toyota Tundra, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. With the platform folded up, we have about 16-1/2 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about 8-1/2 inches and weve added about 13-1/2 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.Well now lift the gray lever at the base of the carrier to fold the platform down. With the platform folded down, we have about 22-1/2 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about 7-1/2 inches. With the platform folded down, we have about 33 inches of overall length added to the vehicle.Now with the platform folded down, you can see that we can easily lower the tailgate and have access to our truck bed.To load the bike, well first raise the mast, put the frame hooks to the top of the mast and well undo the tray straps. more

Yakima DoubleDown Ace Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Tundra- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Tundra well be test fitting the Yakima Doubledown Ace Four Bike Carrier part number Y02451. Now to begin our test fit well simply slid the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert the pin with the red knob into the pinholes and turn the black knob at the back of the shank to engage the anti-rattle device. Now with our Doubledown Ace secured to our Toyota Tundra well go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. There is about 17 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closet part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 9 inches. With the cradle arms folded down weve added an additional 14 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more
